As a Lead Project Engineer here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in leading and managing critical **new product development and product enhancement projects** to deliver innovative solutions and drive business success. You will be responsible for providing guide and drive the project teams, ensuring the **successful execution of projects within scope, budget, quality and timeline.** Your strong leadership skills, technical and business acumen and ability to collaborate with **cross-functional teams and with business groups** will be instrumental in achieving project objectives and exceeding customer expectations. **Responsibilities** + Obtain Project Sponsorship in alignment with Annual Operating Plan and Product Roadmap + Acquiring cross-functional team members + Conduct Project Kickoff + Coordinate Project Discovery activities like Business Case, Technical Feasibility, Voice of Customer Analysis + Enable Engagement of Early Adopter Customers + Obtain Product Funding and Ensure Internal and External Resource Planning + Coordinate Product Scope, Compliance scoping, Security Scoping, Customer Support and Operations Models + Create Detailed Project Plan and Schedule + Oversee the creation of Product SKUs, Scope of work (SOW) documents and Coordinate Procurement of External Resources and Services + Conduct Risks Assessment and Mitigation Plans + Baseline Plan, Define Dependencies and Obtain Commitments + Monitor program deviations, and regularly assess program performance and risks and mitigate including escalation when necessary + Manage program financials and address deviations. + Coordinate product and security approvals, customer interactions, and periodic meetings across functional teams. + Proactively Identify, Analyze, Mitigate and Address Risks and Issues + Manage Stakeholders at different levels including reporting, enabling decision making & escalations + Facilitate readiness assessments and obtain release sign offs + Coordinate Analysis of customer feedback and product backlog + Support in, pricing setup, support workflows, and marketing launch deliverables + Ensure Go to Market systems are ready to receive new products and customer delivery **Skills** + Proficiency in project management methodologies such as **Agile** and Waterfall. + Strong business and technical acumen + Ability to create and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets. + Ability to manage and control scope and use change management principles to balance constraints and customer expectations. + Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle. + Familiarity with engineering principles and technologies pertinent to the product being developed. + Experience in leading **cross-functional** teams. + Expertise working with stakeholders at various levels and escalate with the right approach and **influence decision making** . + Ability to **negotiate** across stakeholders and obtain best resources for project success. + Ability to manage conflicts and resolve towards project success. + Capability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve project goals. + **Excellent verbal and written communication skills** to convey ideas and updates to stakeholders. + Ability to **communicate technical details to non-technical** audiences. + Strong analytical skills for product assessments and strategic decision-making. + Ability to identify problems and implement effective solutions quickly. + Skills in **foreseeing, identifying and managing project risks** to ensure project success. **Qualifications** + A Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree or MBA can be advantageous. + Scaled Agile experience and experience in Agile development. + A **Project Management Professional (PMP)** Certification is required for this role. + Proven experience in **product development** or project management, often requiring several years in a managerial role. + Experience in a specific industry relevant to the products being developed, such as technology, automotive, or aerospace. + Experience in **Generative AI or AI technologies and Data Governance** is a plus. + Experience in **SaaS and Cloud** product development and deployments at scale is a plus. + Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence) and product development tools. + Skills in data analysis and experience in creating reports and presentations to share with stakeholders.
