Lead Project Accountant
Description Lana Funkhouser with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Lead Project Accountant to manage and oversee project accounting functions for construction initiatives in Boise, Idaho. This role requires a proactive and meticulous individual who can ensure compliance with corporate, client, and regulatory standards while maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting project leadership and ensuring financial alignment with client directives. Responsibilities: • Oversee project accounting processes to ensure compliance with corporate policies, client requirements, and state and federal regulations. • Manage and process accounts payable and accounts receivable, including subcontractor and vendor invoicing, payment processing, and client billing. • Maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors and vendors to ensure financial and procedural compliance. • Monitor project finances to align with client directives and ensure accurate reporting of financial performance. • Adapt standard operating procedures to meet the unique accounting needs of individual projects. • Represent the company in billing processes and collaborate with project leadership on financial decision-making. • Develop and refine operating procedures as the department and project scope evolve. • Provide training and coaching to support team development and adherence to financial protocols. • Interpret contract provisions and ensure subcontractor compliance throughout the project lifecycle. Job Order: 03590-0013277207 Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in construction-related projects. • Proficiency in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne and Microsoft Excel. • Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and financial reporting. • Ability to interpret and enforce contract provisions effectively. • Experience in adapting standard operating procedures to meet project-specific needs. • Excellent organizational and decision-making skills with attention to detail. • Strong communication skills to collaborate with project leadership and external stakeholders.
