Lead Product Quality Specialist

Job Description

1. Responsible and accountable for the quality of the products manufactured
and shipped from the Hoskote plant
2. To develop and implement on strategic plans/ quality roadmaps for meeting
and exceeding the KPI’s,
3. Lead process improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process
quality across all the cross functions.
4. Drive continuous improvement of operational procedures by maintaining and
updating SOPs, conducting process FMEAs, and implementing
comprehensive staff training programs to ensure compliance and efficiency.
5. Lead lean activities to improve processes & systems along with sustaining the
Lean culture across the site
6. Support substitute/alternate (Sub/Alt), Direct Material Productivity (DMP)
projects for localization of raw materials and process improvements
7. Drive capability enhancement through NPI / new products development &
collaborate with Global Engineering team for Product Qualification (PQ’s)
8. Ensuring QMS & all process changes through Equipment qualifications and
Process validation activities for the plant.
9. Lead the Internal audits, Supplier audits, Documentation, maintenance as per
ISO and Certification Management of ISO9001/4001/NSF/HALAL for the plant
10. Implementation of new regulations like BIS/REACH etc, work with a global
regulatory team and maintain compliance.
11. Utilize experience and/or expertise to solve problems, develop and execute
objectives for self and others that impacts short-term and long-term business
goals
12. Drive strategic cost optimization initiatives (VCP/BCP) and quality
enhancement projects while ensuring sustainable practices
13. Drive quality culture across organization
14. Ensure EHS requirements at the site by supporting the EHS team
Requires cross-functional interaction and relationship with Planning, PSI, production,
logistics, Sourcing, Technology, EHS, Product Management, Product Applications,
Regulatory, Trade compliance, Commercial team (Local/Global), Auditing and the
Government bodies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Chemical/Mechanical engineering from an
accredited university or college

● Leadership and team development skills
● Lead auditor certification for ISO 9001:2015/ 14001:2015 management systems
● Green belt in Lean six sigma, Exposure to lean tools
● Systematic Problem-solving using RCA tools & methods
● High level presentation skills, Strong technical written communication, and cross-
functional interpersonal skills
● Project management capabilities
● SAP QM exposure will be an added advantage
