The Lead Product Manager is a strategic and executional leader responsible for high-impact product lines. This role blends deep product expertise with agile leadership across cross-functional teams, driving measurable outcomes and future-ready innovation.
This specific role will work on evolving our dealership products to be modern and AI-first, with a strong emphasis on customer data management and core dealer workflows. We are focused on unifying vehicle acquisition, sales, and service workflows into a single view of the customer and enabling next best action logic.
The role will also champion AI-driven product strategy, customer data stewardship, unified workflow ownership, outcome-driven development, dealer empathy, and platform thinking.
Candidates should be fluent in AI/ML concepts, capable of crafting compelling product narratives, and comfortable engaging directly with dealers and OEM partners.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategy & Discovery
Understand customer segments, personas, and competitive dynamics. Partner with UX, marketing, and stakeholders to shape product direction.
Planning & Alignment
Build and maintain product vision, roadmap, and go-to-market strategies. Ensure feature alignment across products and teams.
Development & Execution
Collaborate with Product Owners, UX, and Engineering to prototype, test, and validate solutions. Make build/buy/partner decisions and support pricing and ROI strategies.
Evaluation & Optimization
Monitor KPIs, recommend pivots, and sunset underperforming products. Communicate impact to internal and external audiences.
What Sets This Role Apart
Adaptability & Ambiguity Readiness: Comfortable navigating ambiguity and shifting priorities. Willing to flex between full lifecycle PM and PO responsibilities in the future – although initially the role is not focused on full lifecycle.
AI Leadership & Curiosity: Insatiably curious. Early adopter and champion of AI—both in personal workflows and product innovation.
Narrative Crafting & Evangelism: Skilled storyteller who can articulate product vision and value across internal and external audiences.
Customer Data Stewardship: Understands CDP architecture, data governance. Able to connect data across marketing, sales, and service.
Unified Workflow Ownership: Designs for cross-functional continuity across acquisition, sales, and service workflows with next best action logic.
Dealer-Facing Confidence: Skilled in building trust and communicating with dealer partners. Comfortable with field interviews, ride-alongs, and co-design sessions.
Collaboration Excellence: Exceptional at forging partnerships across Product, Tech, Marketing, and Sales. A connector who thrives in cross-functional environments.
Platform Thinking: Thinks beyond products to ecosystems—API strategy, integration frameworks, and modular architecture.
Future-Ready Product Leadership
As product roles evolve, this Lead PM will:
Embrace AI-assisted decision-making and automated experimentation
Lead outcome-driven product development over feature delivery
Champion platform thinking and ecosystem integration
Own business outcomes through experimentation, hypothesis testing, and metric definition
Evangelize product vision internally and externally
Steward customer data with a privacy-first mindset
Design for unified workflows and next best action enablement
