Job Description Job Summary A client of Insight Global is seeking a Lead Product Engineer to drive innovation and product development across a portfolio of fasteners, tools, and building materials. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and development of contractor-focused tools, fasteners, and building materials Translate field insights into manufacturable mechanical designs using advanced 3D CAD Collaborate with sourcing, product management, and overseas manufacturing partners Engage directly with contractors to validate prototypes and gather feedback Contribute to invention disclosures and early-stage IP development Mentor and elevate a team of senior and junior engineers through technical leadership We are a company committed to creating inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day. Skills and Requirements Required Qualifications Advanced mechanical and product design experience Proficiency in 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred) 12+ years of experience in product development or mechanical engineering Experience collaborating with overseas manufacturers Strong communication and interpersonal skills Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset Experience mentoring engineers and fostering team growth Comfortable with hands-on prototyping and physical modeling Ability to ask questions, dive deep, and solve complex problems Nice to Have Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering or Product Design Experience with SolidWorks and other CAD platforms Background in fasteners, tools, or residential construction products Prior contributions to patented technologies or proprietary product features null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
