Job Summary: About the roleThis role is responsible for the day-to-day execution of Marvel and 20th Century product design and development of licensed products for an area and/or specific categories from concept through production, working with internal teams and licensees. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure the highest quality, consumer focused, trend-right product lines across all channels of distribution (licensing, flex business models, vertical and wholesale) that build brand equity and meet financial targetsYou will report to Sr Mgr-Product Design
The hiring range for this remote position is $113,800.00-$152 ,500.00 per year, which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

You will:Concept, design, sketch, prototype (including managing art-to-product, review 3D modeling, sample creation, deliver and present trend-right consumer centric product direction that features market-leading innovation and great price/value for each tier of the value pyramidManage and execute product and licensed packaging approvals through online systems and collaborative approval meetings, ensuring high quality standards in character execution, in-depth storytelling, color, material, form and function.Collaborate with internal partners (Creative Design, Licensing Commercialization, CBM, Legal, Business Affairs, Product Integrity, Integrated Retail, BPM, Public Affairs, D&I teams, Cultural Consultants) and external partners (Studios & Disney Channel Content Providers, Games, Publishing, WDI, Licensees, DTR Partners) to design and approve all productsCollaborate with the greater product design and creative teams to drive up-front trends, overall creative direction and identify future areas of growth within the franchise and across product categories, including the preparation of custom design tools and retail pitches to differentiate by categoryCollaborate with Global Product Design teams and Central Creative Teams on cultural relevant product opportunitiesLead internal and external agenda-based meetings (licenses, studio partners, regional PD)Prepare creative/product retail custom design tools and pitches to differentiate by categoryOnboard new Licensees, DTR, halo partners globally and locallyMonitor competitors, product innovation and market dynamicsMulti-task and prioritize multiple design projects, running simultaneously with varying levels of complexityYou Have5+ years of experiencePrior experience leading projects, brands, category & with strong understanding of product development and manufacturing.Strong knowledge in hardlines categories and product development process (raw materials, plastic, textiles, 2D and 3D, graphic composition, sculpting, deco, paint master)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to persuade, influence and sell creative/design povStrong product design skills (e.g. 3D/2D product design, technical design, sketching, creative application and manipulation of art, final mechanical art, fabric and trim identification)Strong computer software skills (e.g. MS Office, Adobe Suite)Education:Bachelor’s Degree in related field (e.g. industrial design, toy design, fashion design)Additional InformationBenefits and Perks: Disney offers a rewards package to help you live your best life.
