Lead Product Designer

As a Lead Product Designer, you’ll help shape the future of our digital ecosystem by identifying opportunities for value creation and driving innovative, sustainable solutions through technology.

You’ll champion a startup mindset and agile ways of working to design, develop, and deliver differentiated experiences across Humana’s digital touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities

Lead UX efforts to create intuitive, high-impact digital experiences for Humana members

Translate consumer insights into actionable design strategies and solutions

Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering and Design partners to align on priorities and deliverables

Use storytelling, user journeys, and prototypes to communicate complex concepts and advocate for user needs

Create strategic design artifacts such as vision decks, future-state experience maps, and interaction models

Facilitate workshops to uncover hypotheses, explore solutions, and build team alignment

Ensure adherence to digital design standards, accessibility guidelines, and usability best practices

Drive excellence in visual and interaction design, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and high-quality user interfaces

Maintain consistency in design patterns and contribute to the evolution of design systems

Design for intelligent, personalized experiences powered by AI and data-driven technologies

Required Qualifications

8+ years of experience in UX/Product/Interaction Design

Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality visual and interaction design across complex digital experiences

Expertise in Figma and interactive prototyping

Experience designing within agile teams and across platforms

Skilled in user research, usability testing, and translating insights into design

Familiarity with performance metrics and design constraints

Experience designing for AI-powered interfaces, personalization engines, or data-driven user experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Degree or certification in UX, HCI, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Experience designing for senior adults and inclusive, accessible interfaces

Knowledge of healthcare or insurance is a plus

Comfortable in dynamic, fast-paced environments

Familiarity with tools like UserTesting and strong analytical skills

Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.


 

$104,000 - $143,000 per year


 

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
