**Minimum qualifications:** + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. + 12 years of experience designing mechanical components such as plastic or metal parts, mechanical assemblies, printed circuit boards, or flexes. + 12 years of experience using computer-aided design (CAD) tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or Solidworks. **Preferred qualifications:** + Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. + 15 years of work experience in consumer product design. + Experience in electro-mechanical components such as audio, display, camera, antenna, waterproofing, thermals, grounding, system integration or product architecture. + Experience shipping multiple consumer products in a lead, executive staff or principal engineer role. + Experience working with global suppliers on part manufacturing and final assembly, including onsite factory support. + Knowledge in multiple manufacturing methods used in consumer products. As a part of the Lead Product Architect for Hearables, you will identify, integrate and validate new technologies to shape future pixel devices. You will collaborate with industrial designers and product managers to drive early product definitions and navigate engineering tradeoffs across antennas, sensors, silicon and batteries. You will balance design, performance and comfort while partnering with global New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to bring products to market and support continuous improvement for next-generation devices.The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $221,000-$311,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
