About the Role:

We are seeking a Lead Process Engineer and Flow Assurance Specialist to support a major infrastructure asset in East Africa. This role is critical in ensuring safe, efficient, and optimized operations across multiple sites. The successful candidate will lead process engineering studies, coordinate fluid sampling and chemical management, oversee site modifications, and maintain master process documentation and simulation tools.

Key Responsibilities: Lead process studies to troubleshoot operational issues and propose validated, safe solutions. Provide process engineering support for facility tie-ins and project integration. Serve as custodian of master process documents including P&IDs, PFDs, and Safety Logic Diagrams. Maintain and update the master process simulation model. Conduct de-bottlenecking studies and recommend optimization strategies. Ensure all process documentation complies with company and regulatory standards. Lead flow assurance studies and evaluate optimal use of Drag Reducing Agents (DRA). Design and implement fluid sampling schemes and chemical injection strategies. Oversee chemical stock management to ensure availability and cost-effectiveness. Manage laboratory analysis and reporting across operational sites. Lead the Site Modifications process, ensuring procedural compliance and documentation updates. Maintain an up-to-date modifications register. Contribute to training and mentoring of Process/Field Engineers and other operations staff. Provide process engineering input to technical reviews and safety studies (e.g., HAZOP). Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather inputs for process and flow assurance studies. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering; Master’s degree is a plus. Minimum 10 years of experience in the oil & gas industry. At least 5 years of experience in Process Engineering. Proficiency in process engineering software (e.g., Pro II, HYSYS, OLGA). Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English.
