Lead Person - Weld
**Job Description** This role involves providing leadership and technical guidance to a team of production personnel, ensuring that production goals and objectives are met in an efficient and productive manner. The role requires collaboration with supervisors and other stakeholders to coordinate labor, equipment, and materials, and to ensure that appropriately skilled resources are available to meet quality, production, and delivery commitments ****There are 2 positions for this role. One on 1st shift, and one on 2nd shift. 1st Shift (Mon-Thurs 5am-3:30pm) and 2nd Shift (Mon-Thurs 3:15pm-1:45am)**** Key responsibilities include: + Directing and coaching assigned personnel to ensure efficient and productive job performance + Providing support to team members, and serving as a liaison between production staff and engineering teams + Participating in quality and compliance activities, such as audits, root cause analysis, and problem solving reports + Managing Work Authorization Messages (WAMs) and daily shift assignments + Proactively supporting and creating an engaging work environment to foster a positive and productive team culture. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team to achieve production goals and objectives. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** + Typically requires six (6) years experience in a weld manufacturing role with a High School diploma or the equivalent; or four (4) years experience with an Associates; or the overall equivalent + Highly effective communication skills, verbal and written + Versed in blueprint reading and welding symbols + Demonstrate the ability to assist in planning, scheduling, directing, and monitoring the work of other employees + Strong Leadership, team building, and training skills + Experience with GMAW and GTAW on ferrous and nonferrous materials + Computer skills including Microsoft Office 365 + Creation of daily shift reports **Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills** + Experience working in a DoD environment / industry + Six Sigma Yellow/Green Belt + Root Cause/Corrective Action (RCCA) + Oracle experience + Familiarity with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) + Comfortable with various measuring tools (Calipers, Weld gauges, Bridge Cam) + Knowledge of weld defects and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) weld inspection **Pay Information** Full-Time Salary Range: $69089 - $110543 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
