Role Overview

We are seeking a dynamic Lead Partner Platform Engineer to drive our technical engagement and presales support for strategic technology partners (Databricks, Snowflake), our partner ecosystem (GSI and solution providers), as well as a select group of ISV Embed and OEM partners. As a senior technical leader, you will play a critical role in revenue generation, technical enablement, and use case-driven solutioning, serving as a trusted advisor to both internal teams and partners.

This role requires deep expertise in Alteryx, cloud data platforms, and a consultative mindset focused on use case-driven solutioning. You will also be instrumental in supporting Alteryx’s AI Data Clearinghouse concept—helping organizations build, operationalize, and scale AI-powered solutions in collaboration with our cloud data partners.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Presales & Solution EngineeringLead presales technical activities with Alteryx’s strategic tech partners (Databricks, Snowflake) and GSIs/solution providers across the Americas region.Drive use case-driven solutioning by understanding customer and partner business challenges and architecting tailored Alteryx solutions leveraging cloud data platforms as one of the key strategic pillars of the organization.Support and evangelize the AI Data Clearinghouse concept—enabling organizations to manage, prepare, and govern data for trusted AI use cases in partnership with Databricks, Snowflake, and similar platforms.Deliver compelling product demonstrations, technical workshops, and proofs-of-concept (POCs) tailored to joint customer use cases and partner integrations.Serve as the technical subject matter expert for Alteryx’s platform and its interoperability with Databricks, Snowflake, and other modern data stacks.Collaborate with partner sales and field teams to drive joint pipeline, influence deals, and accelerate revenue.

Partner Engagement & EnablementBuild and nurture strong relationships with partner solution architects, engineering teams, and technical field sellers at Databricks, Snowflake, and GSIs/solution providers.Guide partners through best practices in deploying, integrating, and scaling Alteryx solutions within cloud and hybrid environments.Provide technical feedback to Alteryx product and partner teams, influencing roadmap and joint go-to-market strategies, especially as they relate to AI and data governance initiatives.

ISV Embed and OEM Partner SupportProvide presales, solution architecture, and technical solutioning support for Alteryx ISV Embed and OEM partners to drive new and incremental revenue opportunities.Advise ISV and OEM partners on best practices for embedding Alteryx technology within their solutions, including technical enablement and integration support.Collaborate with the ISV and OEM partner management teams to ensure joint success in the field.

Consultative & Strategic LeadershipAdvise partners in a consultative capacity, understanding their business goals and technical requirements to architect optimal, use case-driven solutions.Lead field enablement on the AI Data Clearinghouse vision—enabling data democratization, governance, and scalable AI adoption for customers through our technology partnerships.Represent Alteryx in joint solution development and field enablement activities, ensuring successful customer outcomes and repeatable partner success stories.Lead technical training and enablement sessions for partners and internal teams.Desired Skills & Experience5–8+ years in presales engineering, partner engineering, solution architecture, or related technical roles, ideally within the data analytics, cloud, or enterprise software space.Hands-on experience with Alteryx (Designer, Server, Alteryx Analytics Cloud, etc.) or similar platforms, is extremely desirable.Strong experience working with technology partners, especially Databricks and Snowflake, including joint technical selling, integrations, and field enablement.Proven experience in use case-driven solutioning - designing solutions based on real-world business challenges and technical requirements.Familiarity with AI/ML workflows, data governance, and the concept of an AI Data Clearinghouse in cloud data environments.Experience working with global system integrators (GSIs) and solution providers in a consultative or technical advisory capacity.Experience supporting ISV Embed and OEM partners from a technical solutioning, architecture, and presales perspective is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive outcomes across cross-functional and partner teams.Excellent communication, presentation, and solution storytelling skills.Technical proficiency in modern data platforms, cloud architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP), SQL, and analytics solutions.Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (advanced degree preferred).

Compensation

 

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. 

 

The base salary range for this role in California, Colorado, Washington, Texas, and Rhode Island is $184,100 to $211,500.

 

In addition, you may be eligible for other compensation, such as a bonus. Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, including medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
