Lead Paint Healthy Homes Inspector (Limited Term) **City of Dubuque** 1 Positions ID: 78215 Posted On 08/14/2025 **Job Overview** **Position Summary** Please note: This position is funded through a federal grant. The grant supporting this position has been awarded to the City for an extended period and has historically been renewed; however, employment in this role is contingent upon the availability and continuation of federal grant funding. The Lead Paint/Healthy Homes Inspector performs field inspections for the City’s Lead and Healthy Homes Program; inspects property to ensure compliance with contract agreements and government regulations; provides oversight and guidance to local contractors in lead-safe hazard reduction techniques and practices in support of the City’s housing improvement programs; utilizes Microsoft Office applications and other platforms to prepare reports and related documentation; and performs other duties as assigned. Some of the work is routine but does require the exercise of discretion and judgment. Work is performed under general supervision and assignments are received from the supervisor either orally or in writing.
