Job Title\: Oracle Hyperion Essbase & Planning Technical Specialist

Job Description\:
We are looking for a highly skilled Oracle Hyperion Essbase & Planning Technical Specialist with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in implementing, maintaining, and optimizing Oracle EPM solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in Essbase BSO/ASO cube development, Hyperion Planning application design, EPM Automate scripting, and data integration using Data Management and ODI. This role demands strong analytical skills, performance tuning capabilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities\:

o  Design, develop, and maintain Essbase BSO and ASO cubes, including outline creation, dimension builds, member formulas, and data load rules.

o  Develop and configure Hyperion Planning applications, including metadata management, web forms, task lists, business rules, and approval workflows.

o  Implement and optimize calculation scripts (Calc Scripts), Business Rules (Groovy/Calc Manager), and MDX queries for performance and accuracy.

o  Manage data integration using Data Management (formerly FDMEE), Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), and EPM Automate for automated data loads and metadata updates.

o  Perform Smart View integration and support end-user reporting and ad hoc analysis.

o  Conduct performance tuning of Essbase cubes and Planning applications, including cache settings, dense/sparse optimization, and parallel data load strategies.

o  Administer security, user provisioning, and application lifecycle management (LCM) for Planning and Essbase environments.

o  Collaborate with infrastructure teams for patching, upgrades, and environment migrations.

o  Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to data loads, metadata synchronization, and calculation logic.

o  Participate in full lifecycle implementations, enhancements, and support of Oracle EPM solutions

Technical Skills and Experience\:

o  Strong expertise in Essbase ASO/BSO cube design, data load rules, outline management, and member formulas.

o  Proficiency in Hyperion Planning application development, including EPMA/Classic Planning, web forms, task lists, and workflow configuration.

o  Hands-on experience with EPM Automate, Groovy scripting, Calc Manager, and MDX.

o  Experience with Data Management, ODI, or other ETL tools for metadata and data integration.

o  Familiarity with Smart View, Financial Reporting Studio, and Excel-based reporting.

o  Knowledge of LCM (Lifecycle Management) for migration and backup/restore of EPM artifacts.

o  Understanding of Oracle Cloud EPM (PBCS/EPBCS) is a plus.

o  Experience with automation using shell scripts, batch jobs, and Windows/Unix scripting.

o  Strong SQL skills for data validation and troubleshooting.

o  Ability to work in shift-based support models and handle incident management, root cause analysis, and performance diagnostics.
