**Lead of Digital Transformation & Automation**
**Position Objective**
This role will oversee the end-to-end factory automation and digital transformation strategy for our medical device manufacturing operations. You will lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation systems and digital solutions, bridging technical excellence with business objectives.
**Responsibilities:**
**Automation & Digital Strategy Leadership** : Develop and execute the factory automation and digital transformation roadmap, leading the deployment of advanced technologies in production processes such as assembly and testing to achieve full automation. Define short-to-medium-term implementation roadmaps for process improvements and monitor post-project performance. Lead factory end to end digital architecture and drive the initiatives to our real visions.
**System Design & Integration** : Lead the design, review, testing, and startup of automation control systems to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards, and achieve high-efficiency operations. Oversee the integration of MES, SCADA systems with production line equipment, build a manufacturing data center, and drive the construction of production process visualization and traceability systems. IoT: Digital transparency cut edge tools to realize the factory operational excellence.
**External Partner & Vendor Management** : Manage external partners and leverage external resources to enable digitalization /automation architect design. **Standardization & Continuous Improvement** : Drive the standardization of automation control software, electrical design, and design standards, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline production processes, minimize waste, optimize resource utilization, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration** : Collaborate cross-functionally to design digital production solutions, define equipment interconnection standards, and resolve heterogeneous system interface compatibility issues.
**Requirements:**
**1.** **Education** : Bachelor’s degree or above in Automation Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent. Master’s degree is preferred.
**2.** **Experience** :
+ Minimum 10+ years of experience in automation & electrical engineering, including PLC & SCADA programming, electrical design, and factory automation project management.
+ Proven experience in the medical device industry is preferred; experience in pharma/biotech, food/beverage, or cosmetics industries is also acceptable. Demonstrated experience in managing external partners/vendors and cross-functional global projects. Familiarity with regulatory requirements such as GMP, FDA, ISO, GAMP 5, ISA88, and 21CFR PART11, with experience in compliant project management.
**3.** **Technical Skills** **:**
Proficient in PLC programming, especially with Siemens TIA Portal and Rockwell RSlogix5000.
Skilled in SCADA design, with experience in Siemens Simatic Wincc or Rockwell FactoryTalk.
Experience in VFD and servo controller design, preferably with Siemens, Rockwell, or equivalent brands. Familiar with industrial process instruments, field buses, and industrial communication protocols (e.g., OPC UA, Ethernet/IP).
Proficient in electrical component selection and electrical drawing design using AutoCAD or EPLAN.
In-depth knowledge of ERP/CRM/SCM system logic and manufacturing digital solutions (e.g., MES, data centers, RPA, AI/ML).
Experience with Emerson Delta V or Siemens PCS7 is preferred.
Proficient in cost estimation and evaluation for automation and electrical concepts.
Strong troubleshooting skills for automation and electrical systems.
