About this role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated DNS, DHCP, IPAM (DDI) & Infrastructure Automation Specialist to join our team. This role focuses on the design, implementation, and management of enterprise-grade DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions, with a strong emphasis on automation and scripting. The ideal candidate will bring deep technical expertise in DDI platforms, particularly Infoblox, or Bluecat, and possess advanced proficiency in Python and other scripting languages to streamline network operations and improve efficiency.
In this role, you will:
Manage DNS records and zones (A, CNAME, MX, PTR, etc.) across internal and external domainsConfigure and maintain DHCP scopes, reservations, and optionsMonitor and troubleshoot DNS/DHCP services to ensure availability and performanceMaintain IP address inventory and subnet allocations using IPAM toolsAdminister DDI platforms such as Infoblox, BlueCat Networks, BIND, and ISC DHCPDevelop automation scripts (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for provisioning and monitoringIntegrate DDI systems with CMDBs, cloud platforms, and other infrastructure tools via APIsPerform upgrades, patches, and lifecycle management of DDI infrastructureRespond to incidents and service requests related to DNS, DHCP, and IPAMGenerate reports on IP utilization, lease activity, and system healthCollaborate with network, cloud, and security teams on cross-functional initiativesMaintain documentation of configurations, standards, and operational proceduresRequired Qualifications:
5+ years of Network Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education5+ years of hands-on experience with DDI technologies (Infoblox, BlueCat, or equivalent).Strong expertise in DNS and DHCP protocols, including advanced configurations and troubleshooting.Proficiency in Python and experience with RESTful APIs for automation and integration.Desired Qualifications:
Deep expertise in DNS, DHCP, IP Address Management (IPAM), and Network Time Protocol (NTP) systems, including architecture, deployment, and lifecycle management.Hands-on experience with Infoblox and BlueCat Networks platforms.Strong knowledge of BIND, ISC DHCP, and related open-source DDI technologies.Experience designing and implementing scalable, resilient infrastructure solutions for core network services.Advanced scripting skills in Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation of log rotation, data collection, error handling, and alerting.Experience developing synthetic transactions for proactive monitoring of infrastructure and applications.Proven ability to mentor and guide less experienced staff.Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD automated build and deployment processes.Experience with Agile Scrum or Kanban methodologies.Knowledge of infrastructure upgrades, security patching, and version management.Experience with logging and monitoring tools.Ability to thrive in a complex, fast-paced technology and/or information security organization within a large enterprise environment.Proven experience with change and incident management practices in medium to large enterprise environments.Job Expectations:
Ability to work onsite in a hybrid model: 3 days per week in-office, 2 days remote.Remote work is not available for this position.Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
