Key Responsibilities & Duties
Develop project scope for mechanical engineering activities Plan and schedule engineering tasks aligned with project timelines Collect and analyze relevant technical and field data Identify, assess, and mitigate mechanical hazards and risks Evaluate designs and solutions against applicable international codes and regulations Provide training and guidance to junior engineers and team members Monitor engineering progress, quality, and compliance during execution Support construction and commissioning activities with engineering expertise Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders Prepare and submit technical reports, risk assessments, and project documentation Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution Minimum 15 years of project engineering experience At least 5 years focused on capital projects in mining, petrochemical, construction, heavy industries, or advanced technology Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, economic considerations, and design methods Familiarity with international codes, standards, and specifications (e.g., ASME, API) Proven experience in project risk management and project execution Practical understanding of health, safety, and environmental fundamentals Proficiency in project control tools such as Primavera, MS Project, and MS Office Excellent oral and written communication skills in English Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking abilities Demonstrated leadership skills, particularly in multicultural environments Effective teamwork, interpersonal skills, and collaboration capabilities Analytical thinking and achievement-oriented mindset Commitment to developing others and driving project outcomes
