As a Maintenance Point Guard II, (Maintenance Lead), you will be responsible for monitoring the activities of the team to ensure all repairs and installations are completed to an acceptable standard. WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
Ensures that facility disruption due to equipment failure is kept to a minimum. Responds to major equipment breakdowns. Responds to malfunctioning or failing equipment issues and make repairs as needed. Perform work in the building facility maintenance trades: carpentry, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, HVAC, equipment repair, paintwork, sheet metal fabrication and welding. Develops weekly schedules for planned maintenance, assigns tasks, and completes scheduled work on-time. Uses root-cause problem solving tools for HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical and mechanical equipment. Advanced working knowledge on Generators, Alarm System, Fire System, Compressor and Air dryers. Performs administrative tasks to support maintenance record keeping in CMMS and spare parts storeroom locations. Can read and interpret technical drawings and works with Contractors as necessary to complete project work. Works with Contractors, Equipment Rental Vendors and specialized Facility Trades as necessary. Provides leadership, guidance and direction to maintenance team. Acts as the liaison between Maintenance & Ops. Develops team training requirements and initiatives to improve team productivity. Responds to major breakdowns and safety incidents. Leads safety training, advanced skills training, and cross-functional process improvement initiatives. Ensures work is completed using appropriate safety guidelines.
WHAT YOU BRING
Ability to manage and supervise maintenance work on electrical, mechanical, plumbing and HVAC systems Ability to handle complex repairs with minimal supervision, with the ability to train others Solid problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communicationPrior work experience in a fast-paced facilities maintenance environmentFour years’ experience as a Sr. Maintenance Technician in a distribution center or manufacturing environment Ability to plan and assign complex repairs utilizing available resources Knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and general industrial safety programs Preferred Education – BS, Degree or equivalent experience
