This position involves leading a team, supporting training and development, and maintaining high standards for linen handling, delivery, and cleanliness. Responsible for ensuring team goals are met, promoting a culture of continuous improvement, and maintaining a safe work environment. Requires handling soiled and clean linens in accordance with safety and infection control standards. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, delivering, and replenishing clean linen throughout the hospital campus’, clinics and regional sites. Accurately track linen stock levels, manage inventory, and input data into various software applications. Prioritize tasks and provide quick responses to customer requests within site-specific guidelines. Ensure safe handling, transport, and containment of soiled linen, following infection prevention protocols. Participate in quality assurance programs and continuous improvement efforts to enhance service and efficiency. Ensure proper use and maintenance of motorized equipment for linen transport. Expedites emergency linen requests and assist in managing linen at multiple locations if needed. Requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow procedures, and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities. Must be able to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with leadership, staff, patients and other departments. Must be able to accurately identify textile attributes for various patient needs. May be required to float to regional sites to provide coverage support. May be assigned to a linen delivery route and drive a Mayo truck. May be required to provide linen support at other locations. **Qualifications** High school graduate, GED or equivalent required. Demonstrated effective leadership skills required. Prefer one-year linen service experience. Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Complete understanding and demonstrated proficiency of all area work tasks. Highly developed oral and written communication skills and interpersonal relation skills. Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheet, and computer data entry skills is desired. Requires a considerable variety of steady physical activity throughout the work shift including manually transporting linen carts and continuous walking throughout the shift. Must be able to move heavy carts independently and perform operation of other motorized equipment. Valid driver’s license required. DOT Medical certification required. Certified Linen Technician required within one year of hire date. Mayo Quality Academy - Bronze certification. **Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
