**Description** The Lead Janitor helps with overseeing cleaning practices of the laundry and cafeteria cleaners. **DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** + Clean building and office floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming them + Gather and empty trash + Clean and supply restrooms + Clean windows and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners; sponges + Clean furniture, walls, machines, and equipment + Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications + Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment + Move furniture, equipment, and supplies manually + Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs + Communicate shortage of supplies and equipment needed for cleaning duties + Additional responsibilities may be assigned **QUALIFICATIONS:** + Some janitorial experience is preferred + Must be reliable and self-motivated + Must have reliable transportation + Time management skills is a plus + Must be able to work independently **EOE/INCLUDING DISABILITY/VETS**
