We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Instrumentation and Control Systems Engineer to join our team for a critical project in the oil and gas industry, focusing on the design and implementation of advanced control systems in Dar Es Salaam, Tanzania.   Role Overview Engineering Activities: Ensure detailed engineering deliverables meet project specifications and standards. I&C Expertise Support: Provide support to field process engineering for I&C functional specifications and design. System Coordination: Ensure integration of all systems among contractors, integrators, suppliers, and construction teams. Monitoring and Auditing: Guide I&C activities to ensure reliability and maintainability of the plant. Leak Detection Expertise: Support fiber optics and RTTM-based leak detection implementation for the pipeline. OTS Development: Provide expertise for Operators Training System scope and specifications. Procurement Oversight: Ensure field instrumentation and safety devices meet project requirements. Field Engineering Support: Assist construction and commissioning teams with engineering support. Vendor Package Monitoring: Ensure instrumentation from vendors aligns with project requirements. Technical Liaison: Act as the main contact for technical matters related to instrumentation and analysis equipment. Interdisciplinary Coordination: Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to manage interfaces. Project Management: Set timelines for engineering documents and equipment delivery. Progress Reporting: Provide detailed updates to management on engineering progress. Procurement Coordination: Support package managers in addressing electrical engineering design issues. Field Engineering Focal Point: Review vendor documentation and provide technical support for ICSS equipment. Installation Monitoring: Oversee site installation and compliance with project specifications.   Skills & Qualifications. Ansys Proficiency: Experience with Ansys for simulation and analysis. Control Panel Design: Skilled in designing control panels for various applications. Fiber Optics Knowledge: Understanding of fiber optics-based detection systems. Project Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple engineering projects effectively. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Strong skills in liaising with various engineering disciplines.   Education & Experience Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field. Certifications: Relevant certifications in instrumentation and control systems preferred. Experience: Minimum 10 years’ experience of work as discipline specialist on large oil & gas projects.
