Job Description
As a Lead Installer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing commercial kitchen equipment. You will ensure all installations comply with safety standards, troubleshoot faulty equipment, and maintain detailed documentation of your work. This role requires strong carpentry and mechanical skills, along with excellent customer interaction abilities.
ResponsibilitiesInstall new kitchen equipment, including ovens, refrigerators, dishwashers, and ventilation systems.Perform regular maintenance checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly.Troubleshoot and repair faulty equipment, addressing issues like leaks, faulty wiring, and worn-out parts.Ensure all installations and repairs comply with safety standards and regulations.Keep detailed records of installations, maintenance, and repairs.Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide guidance on equipment use and maintenance.Essential SkillsProficiency in construction, carpentry, and commercial construction.Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and blueprint reading.Experience in equipment installation and rough carpentry.Strong mechanical skills and ability to solve issues independently.Capability to interface with customers effectively.Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED as a minimum educational requirement.Post-secondary education preferred in fields like HVAC, electrical engineering, or culinary arts.Completion of vocational or technical training programs focused on appliance installation.Apprenticeship experience under experienced technicians.Relevant certifications from organizations such as CFESA or NATE.Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment includes diverse commercial kitchens across NYC to DC, ranging from new construction to renovation projects. The typical work week is Monday to Friday, starting at 7 AM, with occasional weekend work and potential overtime. The role involves lifting heavy equipment, standing for long periods, and working in confined spaces.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Prospect Park, Pennsylvania.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $36.00/hr.
