Summary:
UST is looking for a DevOps Engineer to support our client’s engineering and platform operations. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with automation, CI/CD pipeline restructuring, Kubernetes (K8s), Linux systems, and API gateway technologies. This role involves close collaboration with development, SRE, and infrastructure teams to ensure reliable, efficient, and scalable deployment and runtime environments.
The Opportunity:
This role supports the client’s engineering and cloud platform ecosystem. The objective is to build, maintain, and optimize DevOps services including CI/CD pipelines, automation with Ansible, Kubernetes-based deployments, infrastructure improvements, environment troubleshooting, and API gateway integrations. You will be a key contributor in enhancing delivery velocity, system resilience, and operational maturity across engineering teams.
Key Roles & Responsibilities:
· Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer with strong proficiency in Ansible.
· Experience restructuring complex CI/CD pipelines.
· Solid understanding of and hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
· Strong Linux systems proficiency and scripting skills.
· Experience with API gateways, specifically APISIX or similar (e.g., Nginx, Kong).
· Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and debug complex deployment and runtime issues.
· Basic understanding of GenAI or RAG concepts is a significant plus.
What you need:
To be successful in this role, you should bring a strong technical background in automation, cloud-native infrastructure, and CI/CD engineering. You must be comfortable working in fast-paced engineering environments, capable of deep technical troubleshooting, and skilled at collaborating across cross-functional teams.
Required Skills:
· Proven DevOps Engineering experience with strong proficiency in Ansible.
· Hands-on experience restructuring and optimizing complex CI/CD pipelines.
· Solid understanding and practical experience with Kubernetes (K8s).
· Strong Linux systems proficiency and scripting skills (Bash, Python, etc.).
· Experience with API gateways such as APISIX, Nginx, or Kong.
· Ability to troubleshoot complex deployment and runtime issues across distributed systems.
Desired Skills:
· Basic understanding of GenAI or RAG concepts.
· Experience working in fast-paced engineering or cloud-native environments.
· Familiarity with service mesh, container runtimes, or cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
· Ability to improve operational processes and standardize automation frameworks.
Qualification:
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands-on experience).
· Certifications in Kubernetes, Linux, or DevOps tooling are an advantage.
