The Opportunity:

Lead  I – SAP S4/HANA – Data Migration

Bangalore, KA 

  

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

 

Data Migration Strategy & Execution: Participate in the planning and execution of the end-to-end data migration strategy for the SAP S/4HANA project.

Data Analysis & Profiling: Analyze legacy data systems to identify data quality issues, redundancies, and gaps. Perform data profiling and quality assessments to ensure data readiness for migration.

Data Cleansing & Transformation: Develop and implement data cleansing rules and workflows. Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) using SAP and other relevant tools to ensure data conforms to S/4HANA requirements.

Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with business and functional teams to define data mapping rules, understand data requirements, and ensure accurate data conversions. Communicate progress, challenges, and mitigation plans to project stakeholders.

Tool Utilization: Utilize SAP migration tools such as the SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit, SAP Data Services, or LSMW to execute ETL processes.

Validation & Reconciliation: Design and execute data validation scripts and reconciliation procedures to verify data accuracy post-migration.

Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of data migration procedures, data mappings, and transformation rules.

Problem-Solving: Proactively identify and resolve data migration issues, providing timely troubleshooting support.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Experience:

·       8 years of hands-on experience in SAP data migration, with at least one full-cycle SAP S/4HANA migration project.

Technical Skills:

·       Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP ECC data structures across key modules (e.g., FI, CO, MM, SD, PP) with a focus on supporting manufacturing environments and manufacturing accounting best practices. 

·       Proficiency with SAP migration tools such as SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit (LTMC), SAP Data Services, or LSMW.

·       Experience with ETL processes, data cleansing, and validation techniques.

·       Strong SQL skills for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.

Core Competencies:

·       Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.

·       Experience with implementations in areas of manufacturing, bills-of-materials, routings, purchasing, procure-to-pay business cycles.

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex data topics to both technical and business-centric audiences.

·       Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.

·       Experience in a fast-paced, project-based environment.

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience with master data governance and master data management (MDM) concepts.

·       Knowledge of SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).

·       SAP certifications in data migration or S/4HANA.

·       Experience with data migration in specific functional areas (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Procure-to-Pay).

·       Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Sage ERP software, Dynamics CRM, Salesforce CRM, SANA eCommerce or other eCommerce platforms and Arena PLM are a plus.

·       Ability to familiarize yourself with internally developed systems to support integrations with S/4 HANA and Salesforce systems
