**Hiring Lead HVAC Technician**
**Job Description**
The Lead HVAC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating and air conditioning systems, including the installation of split systems and heat pumps. This role demands proficiency in handling gas pipes, sheet metal, PVC, and electric components, as well as duct installation and routing. The technician will also handle refrigerants, tune and charge systems, provide technical direction and on-the-job training, coordinate construction with other trades, and conduct performance tests using specialized tools.
**Responsibilities**
+ Install, maintain, and repair heating and air conditioning systems.
+ Install split systems and heat pumps, including gas pipe, sheet metal, PVC, and electric components.
+ Perform duct installation and routing.
+ Handle refrigerants and tune/charge systems.
+ Provide technical direction and on-the-job training.
+ Coordinate construction with other trades.
+ Conduct performance tests with specialized tools.
+ Maintain OSHA standards and ensure compliance with appliance standards.
+ Travel to homes and businesses as scheduled.
+ Identify maintenance risks on equipment.
+ Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
+ Clean, adjust, and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
+ Perform emergency repairs promptly and efficiently.
+ Determine customer needs and discuss solution methods.
+ Repair damaged HVAC systems.
+ Keep records of customer appointments and payment transactions.
+ Maintain accurate inventory of equipment and HVAC resources.
**Essential Skills**
+ 4+ years of experience as an HVAC technician.
+ Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
+ Proficiency with HVAC specialty tools including sheet metal break, gauges, manometer, hand tools, pipe fitting, acetylene torch.
+ Ability to balance new systems with HVAC protocols.
+ Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
+ EPA 608 Certified.
+ Valid driver’s license and vehicle for transportation to sites.
+ Working knowledge of boiler systems.
+ OSHA 10 Hour certified.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
+ Willingness to continue education in the HVAC field.
+ High school diploma, GED, or suitable equivalent.

**Work Environment**
The work environment includes active construction sites where you will collaborate with numerous other trades. Maintaining a clean and safe working space is essential. Work frequently involves being on ladders and rooftops. Sites are not conditioned, so expect to work in various weather conditions during winter and summer. Dust and small work environments are common, and proper safety measures are mandatory at all times.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
