Support our partners and the company by ensuring that the company adheres to federal and state work authorization requirements by educating and supporting hiring managers in the employment verification process, including monitoring and following up for compliance.
Leveraging your previous experience, we will enable you to:
+ Collaborate - Partner with various teams including Partner Resources, IT, Legal, and leadership in order to develop efficiencies and maintain compliance with requirements
+ Organize - Coordinates, facilitates and reports on employment verification items, ensuring that hiring managers are meeting requirements. Monitors service levels; processes, audits, and analyzes compliance reporting
+ Communicate - Effectively communicate to provide guidance to both internal and external contacts on Starbucks Compliance policies, procedures, and guidelines
+ Innovate - Develop and design training, education, reporting, and follow up measures to ensure knowledge and confidence of hiring manager and adherence to legal requirements. Is future focused, ensuring continuous innovation and process improvement **This role will require the partner to live and travel in California.**
**_We’d love to hear from people with:_**
+ 2 years Human Resources experience or education preferred
+ 2 years customer service experience
+ Experience researching, analyzing and problem solving in a fast-paced environment
+ Experience handling and securing confidential and sensitive information
+ Federal and State work authorization requirements knowledge preferred
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project)
+ Analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to exhibit strong judgment, resourcefulness and research competence
+ Ability to communicate concisely, both orally and written
+ Ability to multi-task, manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines with a high level of stress tolerance and with strengths in detail orientation, planning, and organizing
+ Ability to problem solve and provide solutions
+ Strong customer service skills with demonstrated composure and professionalism

*If you are working in CA, CO, IL, LA, ME, MA, NE, ND or RI, you will accrue vacation up to a maximum of 120 hours (190 in CA) for roles below director and 200 hours (316 in CA) for roles at director or above. For roles in other states, you will be granted vacation time starting at 120 hours annually for roles below director and 200 hours annually for roles director and above.
The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will be based on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, and internal equity. At Starbucks, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at the high end of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
