Lead Hospitalist
**Job Summary and Responsibilities** As a physician-facing organization, our Physician Group is passionate about high-value, top quality care made accessible in every community we serve. Our Physicians provide services at or above the customary practice standards in the Community, and within the qualifications and experience of Physician and adhere to the standards and principles of medical ethics of the American Medical Association, and all recognized associations or accrediting boards concerned with Physician’s area of medical specialty. **Job Requirements** In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: • Provide high quality medical care for hospital patients. • Participate in chart audits and Quality assurance activities • Facilitates transition of care at discharge. • Communicates health status and treatment plan to patient, family and hospital staff. • Documents information completely for patient care and billing purposes. • Demonstrates proficiency in teaching and mentoring Hospitalists. • Conducts educational activities in required curriculums as assigned. • Teaches medical students, residents and others in graduate health education programs. • Attendance at interdisciplinary or nursing rounds. • Daily communication with the team caring for the patient. • Keeps abreast of the latest developments in field, both academically and through applied skill. • Development of personal and professional knowledge and competence through continuing medicaleducation including maintaining board certification. • Provides leadership, guidance, and professional mentoring of the Hospitalists. • Facilitates resolution of issues and enforces policies involving Hospitalists. • Attends and actively contributes to Meetings. **Where You'll Work** For more than 135 years, St. Mary-Corwin has cared for the people of Pueblo and the surrounding southern Colorado communities.
