Key Responsibilities of the Lead Guest Services Attendant (The following duties ARE NOT intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed by all employees in this classification, only a representative summary of the primary duties and responsibilities. Incumbent(s) may not be required to perform all duties listed and may be required to perform additional, position-specific duties):
Serves as lead to Guest Services Attendants by overseeing outside service operations, ensuring proper procedures are followed, organizing cart storage area, maintaining the practice facilities, providing training to golf attendants and maintaining schedules.
Greet and welcome members/guests upon arrival to the club.
Provides sincere and courteous service to all guests with items such as bag handling and club cleaning.
Informs all golfers of policies pertaining to course conditions, care of the course, pin locations, etc.
Directs start of play when necessary.
Ensures each group conforms to all rules and policies set forth by the club.
Supplies all groups with pertinent information, tees, repair tools, pace of play requirements, towels, etc.
Logs all players by name and cart number, actual time of tee off, the time each group makes the turn and finish times.
Communicates with the pro shop and fellow team members as to any changes in the tee sheet or no shows.
Maintains accurate records of all golf club rentals and that they are returned in complete sets.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Performs other duties as required by the pro shop/management.
Minimum Qualifications of the Lead Guest Services Attendant:
Prior experience working as a Guest Services Attendant at other clubs
PGA Level 1 preferred but not required (This position would be well suited for someone starting out their career in the Golf Industry)
Other Qualifications:
Dependable, regular and reliable attendance.
Works well in a team environment
Knowledge of:
Golf course operations, services, and customer service standards
Safe operation and maintenance of golf carts and related equipment
Driving range procedures and golf ball collection techniques
Basic principles of employee training and leadership
Skilled in:
Providing courteous and professional service to golf patrons
Leading and training part-time or seasonal golf attendants
Operating, cleaning, and maintaining golf carts and range equipment
Effectively organizing and maintaining cart storage and preparation areas
Communicating clearly with patrons, staff, and supervisors
Resolving patron concerns in a prompt and respectful manner
Multitasking and adapting in a fast-paced outdoor environment
