Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Lead Functional Analyst to own and support our Marketing Technology (Martech) stack. This role is pivotal in ensuring the smooth operation, evolution, and optimization of our Martech platforms. You will be the first line of support for unpacking system problems, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement platform changes or new technologies.IT Enablement - Marketing
Reports To: Platform Owner - Martech
Ownership & Support of Martech Stack
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME) for all applications within the Martech ecosystem.
Provide first-line support for business users, identifying root causes and resolving or escalating issues as needed.
Ensure platform stability, performance, and alignment with business needs.
Stakeholder Engagement
Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders, treating them as valued customers.
Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, translating technical concepts into business-friendly language.
Collaboration & Delivery
Work closely with the Feature Analyst, Martech Platform Engineer, and Scrum Master to plan and execute platform enhancements or new implementations.
Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies to ensure timely delivery of Martech initiatives.
Troubleshooting & Problem Solving
Demonstrate a relentless approach to problem-solving, leaving no stone unturned in identifying and resolving issues.
Analyze data, user feedback, and system logs to diagnose and resolve functional and technical challenges.
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to optimize Martech processes and tools.
Stay current with Martech trends and emerging technologies to inform strategic decisions.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience in a functional analyst or similar role within a Martech or digital environment.
Strong understanding of marketing platforms such as Marketing Resource Management, CRM, CDP, marketing automation, analytics, and campaign management tools.
Excellent troubleshooting skills with a balance of technical and business acumen.
Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience working in agile teams and familiarity with agile methodologies.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Flexible, adaptable, and a true team player.
Preferred Qualifications
BCom Information Systems or equivalent.
Experience with platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud, HubSpot, or similar.
Familiarity with data integration, APIs, and cloud-based technologies.
Certification in Business Analysis, Agile, or Martech platforms is a plus
