In this role, you will be responsible for managing Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts. This role includes designing, implementing, and monitoring internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure compliance with SOX requirements. The SOX Manager will work closely with operational and finance partners to ensure processes are efficient and compliant with regulatory standards.
Oversee the development and implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance programs, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and internal policies by managing business controls and operational control structures.
What you’ll do
Typical tasks may include, but are not limited to, the following:
SOX Compliance Program Management: Develop, implement, and manage Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance programs to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies.Audit and Risk Assessment: Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify compliance issues, evaluate internal controls, and ensure adherence to financial regulations.Business Controls and Documentation: Develop and maintain business controls and operational structures, ensuring SOX process documentation is reviewed and updated periodically.Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments such as finance, legal, IT, and operations to support compliance efforts and provide expert guidance on SOX compliance.Training and Continuous Improvement: Develop and deliver training programs on SOX compliance and financial regulations and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in compliance processes.What you’ll need
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) desired. 5+ years of related experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, preferred.Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA) is preferred.What you’ll bring
