This role is responsible for financial projections and detailed analysis of the Financial Protection products, with a focus on the Life Insurance business. This position will utilize a wide range of financial and business analytics and models that elevate managerial understanding of business outcomes and drivers in ways that are strategically useful. The Lead Financial Analyst will work across the business with members of various finance, actuarial, business administration, and data teams.
**You will**
+ Develop financial projections, including annual Plan and periodic reforecasts, for Guardian’s Life Insurance/Financial Protection products
+ Drive monthly and quarterly analysis, standardized and ad hoc ‘topics of interest’ to leadership.
+ Rationalize trends and Plan variances that are insightful and strategically useful
+ Champion use of data to support and advance understanding of financial results
+ Communicate results in a clear and compelling manner to varied audiences
+ Drive automation of planning, analysis, and reporting
**You have**
+ Bachelor’s degree in finance, or relevant business experience
+ Insurance industry experience strongly preferred
+ 7+ years of financial analysis, planning and modeling experience, demonstrating depth of business expertise and analytical aptitude in a complex environment.
+ High degree of intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for discovery; actively seeks to build breadth and depth of subject-matter-expertise
+ Ability to “know the audience,” create and present compelling summaries to variety of audiences
+ Strong collaborative skills, proactively seeking to learn from and share with others
+ Ability to work independently and hold self-accountable for meeting deadlines, reliability of work, managing projects, and solving problems
+ Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Experience with SmartView and Oracle Planning & Budgeting are a big plus. Experience with data tools (such as Tableau) also a plus
**Location**
Hybrid role - 3 days in office located in Holmdel, NJ; Pittsfield, MA or Hudson Yards, NYC; 2 days WFH
**Salary Range:**
$101,180.00 - $166,220.00
The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate. In addition to salary, this role may also be eligible for annual, sales, or other incentive compensation.
