Lead FEA Engineer
Job Requirements

Conduct static, transient, linear, nonlinear, fatigue (LCF/HCF), thermal, and structural analyses of wind turbine components using ANSYS Workbench. Evaluate the structural integrity of components by analyzing stress, strain, displacement, and other relevant parameters under various load conditions.

Interpret FEA results, identify potential areas for improvement, and propose design modifications to optimize component performance and reliability.

Drive technical solutions and reviews with a design team and multiple sub-suppliers and solution providers.

Investigate failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement solutions to prevent recurring issues in wind turbine components.

Identify opportunities to improve FEA processes, documentation, and design methodologies.

Prepare and document detailed reports summarizing the FEA analysis, results, and recommendations.

Participate in hiring, training, mentoring, and reviewing junior engineers.

Embrace a proactive approach to quality by adhering to best practices and QMS processes.

Work Experience

Postgraduate degree holder in Mechanical engineering with over 8 years of professional experience. Proficiency in Finite Element (FE) tools such as ANSYS (Classic/workbench) is essential.

Understanding of the structural design principles for large castings, welded structures, and forged components.

Solid grasp of High Cycle Fatigue/Low Cycle Fatigue and fracture mechanics.

Hands-on experience in performing analytical calculations for bolted/welded assemblies.

Proficient in defining contacts, conducting Nonlinear analysis, and performing Buckling Analysis.

Familiarity with certification requirements for components used in Wind Turbine Generators (WTG) or similar applications.

Knowledge of International safety and mechanical design standards.
