Lead ERP Payroll Integration Architect – Workday

Job Description & Summary

As a Lead ERP Payroll Integration Architect, you work within a multi-disciplinary and client-focused team that consists of specialists with different backgrounds. We help our clients to improve their HR organization and get it working optimally by using technologies, like Extend, as an enabler. This ranges from system selection to full system implementations. 

What will you be doing? 

You’ll collaborate with HR, Finance, and IT teams to translate payroll requirements into technical Workday solutions, ensuring accuracy and compliance. 

Design and deploy payroll integrations (e.g., ADP, SAP, AFAS).  Advise clients on payroll data governance, including wage types, tax mappings, and year-end reporting.  Mentor consultants on payroll integration best practices (e.g., file-based vs. real-time, certified vs. custom connectors).  Optional - Innovate with Workday Extend to build custom payroll solutions. 

Does this describe you? 

You’re a payroll technologist who understands both the technical and regulatory complexities of global payroll. In addition, you have: 

5+ years in integration/technical development, preferred- Workday Payroll integrations (HCM, Payroll, Studio) and multiple middlewares.Knowledge of payroll compliance (ERISA, ACA, GDPR, local tax/social security rules). Experience with major payroll vendors (ADP, Celergo, SAP Payroll) and file formats (Payslips, Bank Direct Deposits).  Preferred - Experience with PECI, WECI, PICOF, XSLT, XML/JSON, REST/SOAP, OAUTH2.Experience on working with external systems like Boomi / MuleSoft / Azure Integration Services.You enjoy working as a functional consultant within a multidisciplinary, international, and client-focused team comprised of specialists with diverse backgrounds and expertise
