Essential Responsibilities
Apply analytical methods, procedures, and techniques to solve problemsExecute analysis and design calculations to support operating reactor cores in reload licensing and cycle managementPrepare and present technical data to internal and external customersDocument and communicate results of technical data generatedImplement continual improvement of work processesMaintain and/or exceed baseline project schedule and cost in delivery of nuclear fuel reload engineering deliverablesShare information and promote open dialogue, including working effectively in a matrixed team environmentEnsure work is performed with high quality in accordance with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standardsPartner with Commercial Account Managers (CAMs), interface with customer technical personnel, and manage reload projects across the Fuels organizationRequired Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering, physics, or other science field from an accredited college or university.Minimum of 4 years of experience in nuclear fuel design and analysis, nuclear safety analysis, or closely related field.Eligibility Requirements:
The preferred work location is in Wilmington, NC Headquarters but qualified remote candidates will be considered (US based)This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.Must be willing to travel to domestic and international plant sites (<5%)Desired Characteristics:
Master of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering preferredExperience with Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) technologyKnowledge of plant operational supportKnowledge of reactor licensing requirementsExperience with BWR core simulator and use of 3-Dimensional neutron kinetics codesProgramming experience with Python or C#Detail oriented and accountable for results.Strong interpersonal and leadership skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsThe base pay range for this position is $86,000 to $122,000. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for bonuses, such as a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation/equity. This position is expected to close on Friday, August 1st.
The company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120%, or 130% of salary in certain areas.
