As a Lead Engineer - Fleet Management, you will also be responsible for:

Responding to internal and external customer requests for technical issue resolution, using technical product knowledge and analytical skills while adhering to sound engineering principles, standards, practices, procedures. Escalate issues as required, acting as the liaison between field and design engineering to drive specific technical resolution and to help engineering identify, drive corrective actions.Establishing and maintaining relationships with customers to make customer technical issues/requirements understood and addressed in a timely manner.Leading and programing manage root cause analysis/investigation activities for product technical issues. Interface with Product Service, System and Design Engineering teams, providing technical leadership to personnel supporting project assigned to resolve customer technical issue.Preparing technical presentations for BH Leaders and Customers ensuring the timely communication of significant issues or developments. Travel to customer locations to:
- Support customer technical review meetings and present recommendations to champion BH's commitment technical solution
- Support unplanned/forced outages to meet reliability/availability goals
- Provide commercial teams with technical support for sales and services proposal activities.Planning and providing engineering technical oversight to the Contractual Services and Field Services teams during planned outages to meet reliability and availability goals.Partner with the Design Engineering teams and interface with external and internal suppliers to facilitate the logistical implementation of Fleet Program technical solutions.

To be successful in this role you will:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical /Aeronautical/ Electrical/ Electronics) OR equivalent10-15 years’ experience in design engineering, operation, maintenance & trouble shooting of Heavy-duty gas turbines /Auxiliaries (Fr5, Fr6B, Fr7E, Fr9E)Strong working knowledge of Heavy-duty Gas Turbines & Auxiliaries.Ready to travel on short notice 20 to 25% of the time.Availability to work during weekends for emergency technical support.

Desired Characteristics

Experience in a matrix leadership environmentPrior experience in a design engineering or field maintenance /customer service facing role.Ability to communicate effectively both to technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to work well with teams and communicate requests and requirements clearly.Experience working in global, matrix organization & ability to make timely and sound decisions based on data.Able to interface effectively with all levels of an organization and demonstrated leadership to pursue correct engineering actions in adverse conditions or situations.Self-starter with strong technical and analytical skillsStrong technical aptitude & problem-solving skills including awareness of applicable engineering tools and systems.Strong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skills

Fluent in English & considered preference for Arabic speaking.
