**You are responsible for**
+ **Designing electronic modules for Philips products, primarily for Grooming & Beauty appliances and additionally for medical devices requiring regulatory compliance.**
+ **Translating technical requirements into product concepts and electronic designs.**
+ **Managing product requirements, leading DFMEAs, and following the V‑model methodology.**
+ **Ensuring complete and compliant documentation for all developed products, including maintaining Design History File (DHF), Risk Management File, traceability matrices, and other regulated design artifacts.**
+ **Designing and testing modules or components to ensure reliability, efficiency, user safety, and adherence to medical quality standards.**
+ **Understanding and communicating the technical boundaries and architectural implications on the product roadmap.**
+ **Planning personal activities, reporting progress, and contributing to hardware and subsystem planning processes.**
+ **Depending on the team role, maintaining oversight of complete appliance or device development.**
+ **Contributing to effort estimation, resource planning, and development timelines.**
**To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer‑first attitude and the following**
+ **A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Hardware Engineering with minimum 5–10 years of experience in electronics product development.**
+ **Solid hands‑on experience participating in medical device development, including:**
+ **Managing and updating Design History File (DHF)**
+ **Familiarity with Risk Management (ISO 14971)**
+ **Supporting Design Controls activities**
+ **Experience with medical device regulatory expectations; knowledge of FDA (21 CFR 820) or CFDA/NMPA processes is a strong advantage.**
+ **Preferably multiple years of experience developing hardware (battery charging systems, DC‑DC converters, SMPS) for high‑volume consumer or medical products, with solid understanding of modern hardware engineering tools, processes, and documentation standards.**
+ **Experience with CFD analysis, FEA (such as ANSYS), or equivalent analytical tools.**
+ **Strong communication skills across multidisciplinary and international teams.**
+ **A proactive attitude and strong quality mindset.**
+ **Technical leadership ability, including proposing and defending design concepts and technical decisions.**
**How we work together**
We believe that we are better together than apart. For our office-based teams, this means working in-person at least 4 days per week.
Onsite roles require full-time presence in the company’s facilities.
Field roles are most effectively done outside of the company’s main facilities, generally at the customers’ or suppliers’ locations.
