Essential Responsibilities
You will be responsible for following:
<li> Design & Build prototype of Electronic Boards meeting Hardware (Internal & Interface) & software requirements as per Steam Power product needs like controllers for ESP, Boiler by actively involving in all phases of product development life cycle
<li> Lead R&D projects and team for developing AQCS and Boiler controllers
<li> Software programming using Embedded C/ C++.
<li> Analysis of firmware and algorithm requirements
<li> Prepare requirement/concept specification, test plan, test reports and other documents
<li> Perform lab and field testing for evaluation of new concepts
<li> Handling EMI / EMC design issues, High-speed digital design layout issues, placement and routing topology
<li>Support to Engineering & Tender team as per requirement.
<li> Support to standardization/cost out efforts and Ensure continual product improvement
<li>Implement global standards and common processes to assure consistent quality is delivered.
<li>Communicate project status, schedules, upcoming deliverable, and technical solutions between various teams. Method of communications to include, but not limited to, model reviews, design review, construct ability & accessibility reviews, team meetings, etc.
<li>Concurrently work on multiple products and ensure program cost, quality and schedule requirements are met
Qualifications / Requirements
<li>Bachelor’s Degree (BE/BTech) in Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering with excellent academic track record
<li>Minimum experience of 8 years of Hardware design (controls system components) used in Industries preferably Power Plants/Oil & Gas/ Petro- Chemical Plants
<li>Minimum experience of 6 years of Embedded software development.
ELIGIBILTIY REQUIREMENTS:
<li>Ability to travel 20% of the time, as required
<li> Industrial experience in Firmware development, Board design and has participated in full product design cycle
<li> Proven expertise in conceptualization, detail design, basic simulations, design calculations and prototyping
<li> Experience on microcontroller, DSP, FPGA/CPLD based hardware design, analogue & digital circuit
<li> Experience on Schematic design, simulation & layout using Orcad / Altium
<li> Hands on experience in using testing & debugging tools like emulators, DSO, Logic Analyzer, function generator etc. for board bring-up
<li> Experience in Industrial Product Certification (UL, CE, CISPR standards)
<li> Comfortable in protocols like RS232/485, i2C, SPI, Modbus TCP, Fieldbus, CAN, Profibus, USB
<li>Demonstrated interpersonal, responsive and leadership skills, ability to interface effectively with global counterparts
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Desired Characteristics
<li>Master's degree from an accredited university or college
<li>Proven experience working in global engineering/ R&D teams.
<li>Knowledge & working experience on Coal Fired & Gas Fired Boilers & Air Quality Control Systems like ESP.
<li>Ability to balance multiple priorities and execute multiple projects at a time.
<li>Ability to influence others and manage small teams.
<li>Lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
<li>Effective problem identification and solution skills.
<li>Proven analytical and organizational ability.
