Key Responsibilities
Reverse engineering of electrical/ electro-mechanical components/ electrical sensors through either non-destructive or destructive approach.Reverse engineer imported/ overseas manufactured electrical/ electro-mechanical components/ electrical sensors & localize them with the support from suppliers/ manufacturers in India.Ability to create & execute test plan for evaluating electrical/ electro-mechanical components / electrical sensors from functional, electrical, thermal, environmental, reliability, endurance & EMC point of view; along with evaluation of the expected overall life of the component.Working with hardware & system engineers for integrated testing, verification & evaluation of the electrical/ electro-mechanical components / electrical sensors in the overall product system.Act as a single point of contact for lab technical support activities like, building test jigs, fixtures & test setup.Purchase electrical components from local market to support building of test jigs, fixtures & test setup during product design & development along with verification/ validation.Liaison with admin & facilities team to build/ update & maintain the lab infrastructure from time to time.

Work Experience
Required Skills (Technical Competency):
Bachelors/Diploma degree in either Electrical, Electronics & Telecommunication or equivalent with overall 10 years of relevant experience in designing/ building/ engineering/ reverse engineering of electrical/ electro-mechanical components along with electrical sensors.Detailed know-how & deep understanding of the architecture/ structure/ build/ construction of various electrical/ electro-mechanical components like transformer, valve, pump, motor, heater, proximity switch, high torque magnetic coils, chokes, etc.Detailed know-how & deep understanding of the architecture/ structure/ build/ construction of various sensors like temperature, pressure, flow, conductivity, proximity sensors, etc. Characterization of materials used for conductive wire parts along with number of strands & wire gauge; materials used for isolation & insulation along with encapsulation techniques.Strong knowledge & acquaintance with electrical/ electro-mechanical components & electrical sensor suppliers & manufacturers across the width & breadth of India, including the local suppliers within the base city/state.Desired Skills:
Getting involved in electrical/ electro-mechanical components / electrical sensors, field failures/ RCA/ CAPA & identifying the root cause of the failures along with improvement plan/ corrective action.Building new electrical/ electro-mechanical components / electrical sensors right from scratch, based on technical specifications & requirements created by system/ hardware engineers.Fair level of knowledge of medical device standard (IEC 60601-1).
