The Lead Engineer has unique skills that have been obtained through certified programs such as Design For Six Sigma (DFSS). The Lead Engineer has demonstrated use of their unique skills, has a track record of multiple large-scale project successes, and has worked internationally (significant projects or physical location). They relish leading the most challenging technical projects and are self-directed

 

 

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead Engineers must be able to demonstrate the following:

Ability to layout multiple large-scale projects and drive them to closure with poise and self-reliance Accomplish daily tasks and propose systematic improvements to standard work, processes, etc. Demonstrate consistent use of advanced technical principles while mentoring other engineers Clearly direct and aide in the development of cross functional team members Determine the critical aspects to monitor and maintain throughout key projects What We're Looking For

 

Demonstrated successful use of best practice technical tools and methods and recognized/ sought out for their technical expertise (Examples: Teach "How" to use the core tools, endorsing best practices) Record of leading improvements in technical or project management processes through personal initiative (Ex.: Leading task force, focus group or kaizen teams, etc. and implementing the change) Recognized and sought out for proficiency in advanced problem-solving techniques. Has a record of successfully initiating, organizing, leading and completing major projects. Record of effective communication internationally and at all organizational levels. Consistently demonstrated pursuit and use of advanced training/education (Ex.: DFSS Black Belt, Project Management Professional Cert., IFPS, Product Line SME etc.). Active in technical community.
