As Lead Engineer for the Real Estate (RE) workstream within Finance Technology, you will lead the design, development, and delivery of robust, scalable systems. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure technology solutions align with business objectives and drive operational excellence.

Responsibilities Lead the Real Estate technology workstream, ensuring strategic alignment with business and enterprise objectives.Define solution designs and lead development, testing, and deployment activities for applications such as Lucernex, Fexa, Primavera, Procore, or similar platforms in RE workstream. Apply deep expertise in Real Estate operations—including lease and store maintenance applications, project planning, cost estimation, execution, financial management, build-out oversight, and market analysis—to deliver end-to-end solutions.Ensure technical solutions follow best practices for design, coding standards, and documentation.Conduct thorough testing of systems and applications to ensure functionality, security, and performance. Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers and junior engineers. Monitor system performance, proactively resolve issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.Maintain and update documentation related to system design, development, and maintenance processes.May lead teams or projects with moderate resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity.Bring others along to collaborate and solve complex problems; uses analytical thinking, tools and judgement to identify innovative solutions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. 7+ years’ experience with software development, preferable in Real Estate related workstream and at least 1 year in a lead or engineering leadership capacity.

Functional Expertise

Strong end‑to‑end understanding of Real Estate business processes.Experience with Lucernex, Fexa, Primavera, Procore, or similar Real Estate technology platforms (preferred).Solid knowledge of financial data flows from Real Estate systems into ERP and broader Finance ecosystems.Strong techno-functional expertise across Real Estate domains, including lease management, project planning, and financial management.Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end: from requirements and design through build, testing, delivery, and hyper care.Experience with integration and scheduling tools such as Boomi, Control-M, Kafka, or equivalent middleware platforms is a plus. Experience working in Agile environments using tools such as Jira.Hands-on experience using testing tools for system validation and regression cycles.Strong analytical thinking, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.

Benefits

The annual base salary range is $120500 - $150000 / year. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position. This role is also eligible to receive short term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Salary will be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Salary is one component of the Foot Locker, Inc. total compensation package, which includes the below.
