Lead Electrical Engineer

KBR’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Lead Electrical Engineer to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia.  This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas.  The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The Lead Electrical Engineer will be responsible for electrical design of the OLNG facility. 

Responsibilities: 

Develop electrical layout design conceptsDesign criteria & specificationsPerform electrical analysis, calculations, & reviewImplement government regulations and industrial codes in alignment with SoW & BoD requirements

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical EngineeringMinimum of 10 + years of related experience, with average experience of 20 + years in the Oil & Gas industry5 + years as a Lead Electrical Engineer with LNG facilitiesDemonstrated capacity with electrical system design, construction & startup of LNG facilitiesExtensive experience in FEED & EPC engineering activities related to electrical system design of LNG facilities with hands-on experience in all phases of projects from FEED to detail engineering & design through construction, pre-commissioning & commissioning, project management & QC controls & procedures of electrical engineering designsHighly proficient in electrical control systems, power generation systems, electrical distribution systems, earthing systems, & electrical equipment including transformers, motors, & AC/DC UPSDetail understanding of large electrical power generation, distribution systems, & preferably combined cycle power generation systemsCompetent with Electrical design softwareFamiliar with related standards and codes
