Job Description
We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Lead Electrical Engineer to join our Electrical Technologies Embedded Systems team. This role involves working within a dynamic Research and Development (R&D) environment. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of high-power electromagnetic systems, laser systems, advanced airborne sensors, and space-based laser and electro-optical communications systems. This position requires leading efforts in data acquisition and system control, including firmware development and integration of various devices.
Responsibilities
Lead and contribute to the development, enhancement, and support of Laser and other control systems using LabVIEW, Bare-metal C, or C++.Participate in technical design and implementation reviews to ensure quality and compliance with system requirements.Collaborate with engineers to architect control systems, making key technical decisions.Manage Integrated Master Schedules using tools like MS Project, Excel, or JIRA.Create technical presentations and documentation for varied audiences.Develop and refine control processes for complex systems, ensuring hardware integrity and safety.Understand and manage interdependent system components, troubleshoot and document relationships.Independently manage technical responsibilities and guide junior team members.Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or PhD in engineering or related technical discipline.Nine or more years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, seven with a master’s degree, or four with a PhD.Experience in designing systems including embedded firmware, sensor integration, and data acquisition.Proficiency in architecting scalable code solutions and applying best practices.Knowledge of PCB design processes and signal conditioning.Experience troubleshooting complex systems involving firmware and hardware components.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $160000.00 - $200000.00/yr.
