Lead DevOps Engineer
**About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer who thrives on building, automating, and optimizing infrastructure to join our Chief Technology Office (CTO). As you roll up your sleeves to write code, build tools, and streamline developer workflows, you will work closely with other engineers to implement infrastructure-as-code, automate CI/CD pipelines, and integrate cloud-native technologies. Your focus will be on delivering reliable, scalable, and secure systems that reduce manual toil and accelerate software delivery. **In this role, you will:** + Build and maintain self-service workflows for tasks like environment provisioning, CI/CD setup, and service deployment + Develop and manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or Crossplane + Automate integrations with systems like GitHub, Kubernetes, secrets managers, and observability stacks + Implement policy-as-code and security automation to ensure compliance and reliability + Contribute to developer tooling, service catalogs, and golden paths that simplify application delivery + Write scripts and tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency + Collaborate with engineers across teams to troubleshoot issues and improve platform usability + Maintain internal documentation and contribute to knowledge sharing **Required Qualifications:** + 5+ years of Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Solutions experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education **Desired Qualifications:** + **IaC & Automation:** Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools + **CI/CD Systems:** Proficiency with GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins, or similar + **Scripting & Programming** : Solid skills in Python, Bash, or Go + **Containers & Orchestration** : Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes + **Developer Tooling** : Familiarity with platforms like Backstage, Port, or Cortex + **GitOps** : Experience with tools like ArgoCD or Flux for declarative infrastructure and delivery + **Observability** : Knowledge of Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK Stack + **Security & Policy** : Experience implementing policy-as-code and secure automation practices **Job Expectations:** + This position is not available for Visa Sponsorship + This position requires working in office in a hybrid environment **Locations:** + 401 Las Colinas Blvd W - Irving, Texas 75039 + 194 Wood Ave S - Iselin, New Jersey 08830 + 300 South Brevard St - Charlotte, North Carolina 28202 **Pay Range:** + New Jersey - Iselin Pay Range: $143,000 - $224,000 USD annual **Pay Range** Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position.
