Lead Deployable Satellite and Expeditionary Communications Planner and Architect (Active TS/SCI Clearance)
The Lead Deployable Satellite and Expeditionary Communications Planner and Architect provides comprehensive management of all aspects of Satellite Communication deployment from analysis of mission needs to verification of system performance and first line supervision of a team of Deployable Satellite and Expeditionary Communications Operators / Administrators. **Responsibilities** + Provide the knowledge and expertise in Satellite Communications and Network Systems. + Provides consulting and recommendations to managers, supervisors, and the workforce on the implementation of worldwide deployment of satellite communication nodes in support of operations, exercises, and future mission requirements. + Designs and implements communication architectures to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements and provides for present and future cross functional requirements and interfaces. + Analyze user’s requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop Tactical and Expeditionary Communications system requirements specifications. + Engineer and design Primary, Alternate, Contingency, and Emergency tactical communications systems from unclassified up to SCI. + Installs and troubleshoots remote sites by themselves with demanding customers in austere locations. + Manages a team of up to seven employees across geographically separate areas. + Leads teams of operators responsible for installing, operating, and maintaining. tactical communications systems. + Participate in government and program leadership meetings. + Assist with PM directed initiatives and meet assigned project deadlines. **Qualifications** + Current Top-Secret w/ SCI Clearance (as reported in DISS). + Current DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification such as CompTIA Security+ or greater **or associate’s degree** in comparable field of study with 6 Years’ experience in a related field; **or bachelor’s degree** in comparable field of study with 4 years’ experience in a related field; **or** master’s degree in comparable field of study with 2 Years’ experience in a related field. + Able to obtain and maintain forklift license and be proficient in forklift operations and maintenance. + Experience with operation and installation of deployable satellite communications systems. + Must have and maintain a valid U.S passport for international travel. + Capable of deploying and travelling within a 72 hours’ notice period. + Experience with military exercise planning. + Ability to frequently lift, carry, or otherwise move and position computer/network equipment weighing up to 100 lbs with a two-person lift. + Minimum five (5) years of systems administration with privileged user accounts. + Minimum five (5) years supervisory experience. **Desired Qualifications:** + Familiarity with the Asia-Pacific area of operations. + Knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft PowerShell in a variety of applications. + Ability to complete difficult and complex assignments independently. + Detail-oriented and ability to handle multiple tasks. + Outstanding problem-solving skills and customer service skills. **Travels:** + Amount: 25%-75%. + Straight Time OT available. + Travel both CONUS and OCONUS. **Job ID** 2025-18338 **Work Type** On-Site **Pay Range** $96,000 - $145,000 yearly **Benefits** Regular - The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and a range of other voluntary benefits.
