Responsibilities Key ResponsibilitiesData Analysis and Insight Generation:Analyze data from Blackbaud Grantmaking or similar grants management, fundraising CRMs, financial management systems, and clinical data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights related to patient needs and philanthropic impact.Develop and implement analytical models to assess the effectiveness of philanthropic programs and initiatives.Provide data-driven recommendations to philanthropy leaders to inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation.Reporting and Dashboard Development:Design, develop, and maintain regular reports and interactive dashboards for the philanthropy department.Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timely delivery of all data reports.Customize reports and dashboards to meet the specific needs of various stakeholders.Data Management and Quality Assurance:Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure data quality and integrity across all relevant systems.Develop and implement processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL).Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies.Strategic Support:Partner with Ascension system office philanthropy leaders to understand their data needs and translate them into analytical projects.Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure philanthropic impact.Present complex data and analytical findings clearly and concisely to diverse audiences.Team Leadership and Mentorship:Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data analysts, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.Contribute to the continuous improvement of data analysis methodologies and best practices within the organization.

 

 


Requirements

Education:

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Bachelor's degree with 1 year of experience OR 5 years of applicable cumulative job specific
experience required. 2 years of leadership or management experience preferred.
Additional Preferences QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a related quantitative field. Master's degree preferred.Experience:5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role, with a focus on non-profit healthcare or philanthropy preferred.Proven experience working with Blackbaud Grantmaking or similar grants management, fundraising CRMs and financial management systems.Experience with social determinants of health, health equity, and population health data sets and understanding of healthcare terminology is highly desirable.Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and advanced spreadsheet visualization.Google Suite products experience is a plus.Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with statistical programming languages (e.g., R, Python) is a plus.Skills:Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex data into understandable insights for non-technical audiences.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Passion for Ascension’s mission and values.
