The Opportunity:
You'll provide cultural and language analysis and guidance across two programs in a part time capacity.  Using first-hand knowledge, you’ll supervise, mentor, and provide guidance on all other program CLA’s and their work.  You’ll also transcribe and/or translate source material, both printed and audio, provides analysis and reporting of translated Chinese source material. 
 

Responsibilities:

Mentors and guides all other CLAs in the same core languages.

Supervises and edits other CLA work.

Translates intermediate to advanced level materials including technical manuals in Chinese and Korean periodicals into good grammatical English.

Transcribes and translates Chinese and Korean audio files into good grammatical English.

Provides analysis of Chinese and Korean language documents & materials so that meaning, and context can be clearly understood.

Researches open source data and determines as pertinent or non-pertinent to mission requirements.

Participates in analytical meetings or conferences with team members.

Drafts reports and coherent summaries of language analysis that meets the needs of the team and program.

Prepares and updates databases of translated source material.

Works as part of a multi intelligence discipline team providing culture and language expertise.



Qualifications:

Required: 

Must possess current TS/SCI clearance and be willing to take a polygraph

Must possess native or near native proficiency in Chinese and Korean, and a minimum of 3/3 on the DLPT or equivalent test.

Requires a 15+ years of relevant experience.

Provides senior-level cultural and language expertise.

First-hand business or personal experience in the countries where the core languages are spoken.

Proven ability to adapt to complex technological topics.

Clear and effective written, visual, and oral communications skills.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

 


Desired:

Intelligence experience in a fusion environment. Knowledgeable in intelligence disciplines' capabilities, limitations, and platforms.

Analytic and technical collaboration and outreach experience.

The proposed salary range for this position is:

$105,100-$231,100
