Lead CSA Engineer

Key Responsibilities & Duties
Lead reviews of all CSA engineering deliverables including drawings Perform required CSA calculations Lead review and verification of all CSA activities linked with EHS deliverables as required Provide technical support for CSA-related procurement activities Plan CSA activities ensuring they do not impact the project critical path Manage project communication and document control through project management tools such as Aconex Contribute positively to HAZOP/HAZID or similar safety studies, ensuring correct CSA equipment installation per area classification and project stage Review and interpret plans, specifications, material proposals, and construction methods to ensure compliance with contract requirements, national/international codes, or approved waivers Provide technical support and review project management documents throughout the project lifecycle Ensure performance of required Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) according to engineering standards or via third-party verification Ensure CSA equipment installation is supervised by vendors Provide technical coaching and training for junior CSA engineers Monitor EPC/EPCM and construction contractors to ensure adherence to IFC drawings and contract documents Assist project management with documentation control, reporting, deliverables, and cost analysis for CSA items Liaise regularly with other project partners for integrated planning Develop technical and management reports detailing CSA performance, highlighting risks, and recommending mitigation plans Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in CSA Engineering from a recognized institution Professional Engineer (PE) license or higher preferred Minimum 15 years of experience including at least 5 years focused on capital engineering projects Experience managing large-scale projects in multicultural environments Skills & Competencies
Comprehensive knowledge of CSA engineering practices, economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and international codes and standards Practical understanding of safety and environmental fundamentals and their application Fluent in oral and written English Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills with consistent ability to meet deadlines Proficient in project control tools such as Primavera, MS Project, and MS Office Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to mentor and develop junior engineers
