Join us! **About this role:** Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer who will serve as an important member of the Front-Line Control organization and is accountable for assessing and ensuring effective management and control of associated risks for Chief Data Office (CDO). This role is part of the team that counsels DMI leadership on risk and control issues, issue management and remediation, regulatory interactions and engagement with Data Domains and their teams. This role must lead and foster a collaborative environment that ensures timely communication and strong cooperation between this front-line unit and independent risk management under Data Management Risk Oversight, and a strong connection with Wells Fargo Audit Services. The successful candidate will also work closely with CDO management and with other Control Organizations in the execution of data management risk and data management strategies. Accordingly, critical success factors will include the ability to develop partnerships with many functional areas, provide insight into the regulatory climate, and identify data trends which may present opportunities or reflect gaps in the Company’s data management strategic execution/direction. **In this role, you will:** + **Risk Strategy Advisor** – Advise CDO leaders on developing strategies to mitigate complex, integrated risks across multiple business lines. + **Impact Monitoring & Reporting** – Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report the effects of decisions and controls to relevant business groups and enterprise functions. + **Senior Stakeholder Engagement** – Collaborate with senior leaders on Data Management Risk and compliance requirements. + **Enterprise Risk Strategist** – Lead strategy and resolution efforts for complex and emerging risks across the enterprise, including financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, data management, IT security, and business processes. + **Visionary Risk Leader** – Provide direction and expertise to DMI leaders in implementing innovative solutions for complex operational risks. + **RCSA Participant & Advisor** – Participate in Risk and Control Self-Assessments and guide Risk Assessment Unit Owners and business leaders through detailed evaluations. + **Cross-Level Risk Consultant** – Advise all levels of the business group on designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, processes, and controls that meet regulatory standards. + **Data Risk Liaison** – Serve as the primary data management contact for senior leaders across Control, Risk, Audit, regulatory bodies, and other key stakeholders. **Required Qualifications:** + 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education + 3+ years of Data Management experience **Desired Qualifications:** + **Data Management Expertise** – Strong understanding of data operations, processes, products, and how data management risks emerge and impact business. + **Leadership & Project Execution** – Demonstrated ability to lead teams, analyze data, and manage projects that align stakeholders and deliver consistent, end-to-end risk management solutions. + **Generative AI Risk Knowledge** – Experience supporting risk management initiatives involving generative AI technologies. + **Quality Assurance & Controls** – Familiarity with QA techniques, issue verification frameworks, and experience in audit, issue oversight, or internal controls assessments. + **Ethical Risk Escalation** – Proven integrity and ability to independently identify, escalate, and challenge risks constructively and confidently. + **Risk Communication Skills** – Skilled in preparing management-level presentations that effectively use data to communicate risk narratives. + **Change Leadership & Decision-Making** – Ability to lead organizational change, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, make quick decisions, and implement solutions in high-pressure, complex environments. **Job Expectations:** + This position offers a hybrid work schedule Relocation assistance is not available for this position Locations: 401 S Tryon St. Charlotte, NC 1525 W.
