About this role:
This position will develop and execute strategic communications programs that focus on executive communications, internal communications, and media relations. The successful applicant will work closely with Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) executives to translate business strategies into content that informs, engages, and inspires their audience. This position is available in Charlotte, NC; Minneapolis, MN; St. Louis, MO; or West Des Moines, IA and offers a hybrid work schedule. The Wells Fargo job profile is Lead Communications Consultant.
In this role, you will:
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to WIM executive(s)
Develop and implement communications strategies and plans that drive business priorities
Identify strategic storytelling opportunities that promote executive(s) and key initiatives
Lead innovative approaches to help leaders create enhanced employee engagement
Identify executive advocacy, external speaking and/or social media opportunities
Write press releases, key messages, media statements, social media submissions and talking points
Pitch and respond to reporters from key national print, newswire, radio and broadcast media outlets
Serve as a spokesperson for media inquiries or prepare suitable subject matter experts to respond
Assist with town halls, including event invitations, distribution lists and feedback reporting
Track and measure results to ensure they are in line with intended outcomes and business objectives
Partner with other communicators to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Experience developing communications strategies and plans that drive business priorities
Experience securing broadcast and print media opportunities with national and trade media outlets
Experience prepping executives for media interviews or speaking engagements
Experience writing stories across various social, internal, and digital channels
Experience building strong relationships with national business and trade news media
Experience developing compelling content and leveraging multiple channels for creative storytelling

Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
