Your Role as a Lead Commercial HVAC Technician As a Lead Technician, you’ll spearhead operations, ensuring top-quality service and team performance. Your responsibilities include: Conducting monthly audits (truck inspections, site assessments, repair quality, PPE compliance). Leading preventative maintenance, ensuring accurate PM sheet completion. Approving vendors and supporting division manager with vacation planning and on-call schedules. Performing maintenance, repairs, and equipment changeouts for commercial HVAC systems. Troubleshooting and servicing HVAC systems and ice machines. Collaborating with dispatchers, coordinators, and technical resources. Adhering to safety protocols and completing accurate, timely documentation. Delivering exceptional customer service to national clients. Tools & Support Fully stocked company service van (take-home option). Company-issued iPad and iPhone. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided. QualificationsRequired:
EPA Certification. 3–5 years of demonstrated experience in commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems. High school diploma or GED (trade school or apprenticeship preferred).Physical Requirements:
Climb ladders carrying up to 30 lbs., lift up to 75 lbs., and work in confined spaces (e.g., crawlspaces, attics). Willingness to wear PPE.Additional Requirements:
Flexibility for overtime and travel for training, meetings, or client-site visits. Ability to meet enhanced security clearance requirements. Subject to drug, background, and driver’s license checks.Skills & Abilities:
Expertise in troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining commercial HVAC systems. Leadership skills to manage team audits, training, and schedules. Strong customer service, communication, and time management skills. Familiarity with industry software (a plus but not required). Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively.
