The Compatibility & Coating Solutions Team aims at studying the materials compatibility with unconventional fluids and developing innovative coatings/surface treatment solutions. The team evaluates, develops, and industrializes new emerging technologies to guarantee the best performances of the new Energy Transition products enriching Baker Hughes portfolio.

Partner with the best

We are seeking a highly motivated person with experience in coating technologies such as painting and plating. You will be part of a team that is responsible for the definition of internal standards for coating processes.

As a Lead Coating Engineer, you will be responsible for:

Defining of internal standards for coating processes (i.e. painting and plating).

Qualifying of external suppliers.

Resolving of non-conformities and deviations in coating processes.

Supporting in ITO (Inquiry to Order) and OTR (Order to Remittance) phases as a coating specialist.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a MSc or PhD in Materials Engineering, Chemistry or similar.

Have technical expertise on coating processes, particularly on painting and plating as well as corrosion, materials/coatings characterization and testing.

Have an AMPP (certified coating inspector certification or equivalent.

Have excellent communication and written skills in English.

Be able to demonstrate effective leadership skills with the ability to influence and build relationships with the team and the internal and external customers.

Be able to travel internationally.

Be a self-starter, proactively taking the initiative to solve problems and provide solutions.

Have understanding of the Energy Industry and exhibit the highest standards of ethical conduct and comply with company policies.
